Hedonism Newbies
If you have never partied at Hedo, here are some tips and sage words of advice
I'm/We not swingers or in the lifestyle.
Hedo is NOT a swingers resort… however it doesn’t shy away from that if that’s your thing. Hedo is a place to explore all your hedonistic fantasies with your mate, a friend… or two or three, or hell, by yourself! You don’t even have to have xes! You might like to go to a resort and be naked! No pressure and no judgment!
I'm really self concious about my body.
You don’t have to be naked the whole time!!! However, Hedo might not be your resort if you want to wear your latest Gucci swimsuit or Hermes belt. Sandals is right next door and so much more boring.
Hedo is about freedom; nobody cares about your FUPA, love handles, back fat, or non-airbrushed body. In our many years going, we have seen everybody type. Women with mastectomies, amputees, blind, elderly, and questionably young (18 is the legal limit), beer guts, Tummy tuck scars, C-Section scars, perky, sunburnt, and saggy breasts. Trust me; you’ll look fine!
Can I smoke there?
Short answer is yes, but there are designated areas to smoke, and absolutely no smoking in the rooms. There is a dispensary on-site and there is a local Jamaican that walks the beach regularly that offers other enhancements of choice.
Omg what should I pack?!
- Airport and excursion clothes
- Sunscreen
- Meds
- Clothes for when you want to venture off the resort or take pictures
- Very comfortable shoes and, more importantly – POOL SHOES
Seriously – that’s it! Hedo is clothing optional, and you only need clothes for when dining and off the resort otherwise, you can be nude the WHOLE TIME!
But what if I want to take pictures?
There is a time and place for everything, and one thing about Hedo is that it is not like your typical resort. As stated above, nobody cares what you look like and are into. The most paramount thing you can take away from your experience is respect. So that being said, Hedo is not a place to show off for the ‘gram. It’s prohibited on the nude side and shunned everywhere else. Naked people often walk on the prude side, and we don’t want to be part of your IG live. If you MUST document everything, ensure no other guests are in the background or your shots. You are there to relax and have fun. Live in the moment, not for your online followers.
